It has a wonderfully rich dark brown color with distinctive grain characteristics.

Ipe is extremely durable, 100% natural wood decking.  It is eight times harder than California Redwood and three times harder than Cedar. Ipe is sustainable and eco-friendly and has the same Class A fire rating as concrete or steel. It is resistant to rot, insects, and decay.

Ipe needs a little routine cleaning & maintenance. Over time, the color can turn grey, so you’ll need to apply a coat of stain to it annually.
